Thought I'd try a little cut-out experimentation a la Brittney Lee!
I made this for my lovely and talented friend Laura as a birthday present :) Obviously it's still early days and I have a long way to go, but I think for a first try it turned out fairly well... what do you think?
It was nice to have a break from Photoshop for a while and work on something more tangible - I think there'll be more to come!
It's finally finished! Part 2 in the adventures of my as yet un-named intrepid explorer! Stay tuned for more exciting escapades... next stop the Wild West :D
Quick! Get away! Those men look like they're trying to steal that really important book that you haven't secured very well!
Trying something new, with much more detail, to become part of my new portfolio - exciting! :D This is the first of many (hopefully) Illustrations to feature this chap... he gets around...
So recently I've forced myself to practice background work. To my great surprise, it's not actually as boring as I'd presumed! At points I was even quite enjoying myself...
Here is my first true attempt at an imagined background - an indian rainforest for an illustration I've been working on for quite some time but never finished.
Hi, I'm Jess and I am an illustrator living and working in St. Albans in the UK. Things that are purple and/or patterned please me a lot. I also like vintage pin-ups, Glam Rock and white chocolate buttons. If I were you, I wouldn't ask me for directions or how to wire a plug, but if it's pictures you want - I'm your girl.
