Days 3 and 4...

So, it seems I haven't got off to the best of starts! Some of you may have noticed I managed to miss yesterday too, but luckily have found the time this afternoon to do TWO whole drawings :D

3: Design your own super-hero costume :D I went for steampunk meets 60s chic...

4:  Write your name in 10 different fonts.  I like to call the last one 'Squiggly Ghost'.

November Challenge!!

Brendan Kearney and I have challenged each other throughout November to do a drawing a day to show to all you lovely people :) The aim of this is to keep our hand in and maybe come up with something useful now and again!

As we've both been in Berlin for the past few days, here are days 1 and 2:

1: 'Draw your parents from memory' - this was a lot harder than I'd anticipated! I maaaaay have cheated a little bit :-P (shhh don't tell Brendan)

2: 'Draw your earliest memory' - this is me and my great-grandad.  He would sit with me at my nan's house and help me do jigsaw puzzles whilst I drank the sugary milky bit at the bottom of his tea :) By the time it got to 100 pieces I was helping him :-P

I wonder what day 3 will bring?

Happy Halloween!

I'm off to Berlin today! :D

I did this little drawing a few days ago, but unfortunately haven't got round to colouring it yet and I have to go away! Boo :( I may colour it when I get back, what do you think?

New Jipsy logo!

New logo/ website header design for Jipsy - probably needs a few tweaks, but I just had to get it up! Swirls, boats and feathers are my favourite things to draw so this was pretty fun :)

A Little Bit of Fairy Dust...

I know how to spend my Saturday night! Filling a tiny bottle with glitter to make cute princess-y jewellery :) Finally my hoarding has come to good use! Next up, an Alice in Wonderland theme...

Perks of working in a school - free life drawing classes! Little bit rusty today, but looking forward to getting my skillz back.  Oh yes, skillz with a zee.

2 x 10 minute poses - cartridge paper and charcoal.

Thought I'd try a little cut-out experimentation a la Brittney Lee

I made this for my lovely and talented friend Laura as a birthday present :) Obviously it's still early days and I have a long way to go, but I think for a first try it turned out fairly well... what do you think?

It was nice to have a break from Photoshop for a while and work on something more tangible - I think there'll be more to come!
